One of the first ewes that I owned, Marie was very flighty at first. Falling into a ravine she fractured her neck badly and wasn't expected to survive. But with tender care and some improvised physical therapy she lived and survived for 12 years having a lamb each year until January 2020. Her ewe daughters live on here at the farm.
My knowledge of knitting helped to create an Aran Isle sweater for Marie, each stitch is hand painted. I love the whimsical idea of a sheep in a sweater of wool.
